Game Developers Conference (GDC), which happens in March 16-18th, will be the first place to show Pokémon GO and its inner workings. Niantic CEO John Hanke will be speaking during the Smartphone & Tablet Summit and as part of the “Catch ‘Em All: Pokémon GO and Real World Gaming”. GDC’s website states that we will see Pokémon GO deconstructed and other details about its mechanics. But still no word on the release date of the app.

The site also says:

“Hanke aims to offer attendees an in-depth look at how players are interacting and exploring the world with one another through Pokémon GO, the collaborative approach to design and development for the game, and what Niantic (which also developed Ingress) sees as the next evolution of augmented reality and real-world mobile gameplay experiences.”
