NIS America to localize Psycho-Pass: Mandatory Happiness on PS4 and PS Vita

Ahead of its 2016 press event tonight, it’s been revealed that NIS America will be localizing Mages and 5pb.‘s Psycho-Pass: Mandatory Happiness visual novel game for both North America and Europe this fall.

Nitroplus worked on the original story for the game which is set between the first six episodes of the anime series. It changes the setting from downtown to an isolated island, and features both a male and female protagonist who must face a new enemy. Fans will also be happy to know that characters from the series will appear in the game.

The game’s character designs are done by Kyoji Asano, who previously worked on the anime series, with Gen Urobuchi (Puella Magi Madoka Magica, Fate/Zero) providing the planning and scenario supervision for the game.

The game will be released both digitally and physically on the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita, and will feature Japanese audio with English subtitles.
