The Oculus Rift is going to be available on March 28th this year. This left many wondering when Sony was going to announce the release date for PlayStation VR. Thanks to GameStop CEO Paul Raines, we know when that is. During an interview with Fox News, he revealed that it’s coming out later this year.

“We will launch the Sony product this fall,” said Raines, “and we’re in discussions with the other two players.”

You can check it out at the 2:40 mark.

Will the PlayStation VR sell more than the Oculus Rift? With over 35.9 million PlayStation 4 units sold, the odds are in Sony’s favor due to the console being VR ready. Oculus and HTC users will have to make sure that their PC meets the high spec requirements.

With two big VR headsets coming out this year, will this help push the VR craze to the mainstream? We’ll have to wait and find out.
