Chances of a 3rd Season of Agent Carter doesn’t look good

HAYLEY ATWELL

Things do not bode well for Agent Carter and friends. If you remember last year, it was uncertain if the series would return, which sparked the #RenewAgentCarter movement. Since the series return this year, the rating have steadily been on a decline. To make matters worse, Hayley Atwell has just signed on to be the lead in a new ABC pilot called Conviction, which is produced by Jessica Jones and The Following producers.

Her scheduled is said to be able to accommodate her Agent Carter schedule, but Deadline sources say that it is unlikely that the show will get picked up for a 3rd season. Some also believe that since ABC has already greenlit two other Marvel TV shows, the network may choose to cut bait with Carter in order to make room for new programming.

This is unfortunate because if the show is cancelled, fans will never get to see Marvel historic events like the formation of S.H.I.E.L.D. or the death of Howard Stark.

Agent Carter airs Tuesday’s 9/8c on ABC.
