First look at Japan’s Godzilla

The Japanese Shin Godzilla, or Godzilla Resurgence (outside Japan), is due out later this year. Over the weekend, a picture of the new Godzilla that Japan is producing was tweeted out to the world, and it looks like he’s had a tough life.

This Godzilla looks to be more gruesome than what we’re used to. It seems like his skin has been torn and muscles showing through. It has either been through many battles or it’s on its final legs. Either way, we’re getting a totally new look of Godzilla from the folks that brought us Neon Genisis Evangelion and the Attack on Titan movie.
