Daredevil season 2 coming March 2016?

Daredevil premiered in April 2015 with rave reviews from fans and critics and was able to deliver a riveting story with a very dark and gritty tone. Just about a year later it looks like it’ll be coming back to Netflix with season 2 for a March 2016 release, according to Entertainment Weekly’s preview issue for 2016. It also says that season 2 is almost wrapping up, so the timeline seems right.

With Luke Cage currently in production, we’ll likely see Mike Colter’s series premiere later in the year, marking 2016 a good year for fans of Netflix’s Marvel series. With Daredevil season 2 coming about just a year later from the first season’s premiere, does this mean we might get a Jessica Jones season 2 in November 2016? Chances are no since showrunner Melissa Rosenberg told THR that it might delay the upcoming The Defenders series.

“The question becomes is there actual time?” asked Rosenberg. “There are logistics involved, because Defenders has to shoot by a certain time, contractually. Actually, I’m not sure; I’m not at all involved in those conversations, much to my dismay. The first question is whether or not we will even get a second season. The second question is, if so, when? Will it be before The Defenders or after? I’d certainly love it to be before but there are things that play into that — time, availability.”
