Ford releases second commercial featuring Dragon Ball Z

ford fusion DBZ

In one of the most bizarre team-ups in advertising history, Ford has enlisted the help of the Z-Fighters from Dragon Ball Z to help sell their new cars. The first commercial was released earlier this month. Unlike the Subaru commercial that featured Attack on Titan last year, these commercials were actually aimed at American audiences and even reunited the voice actors that worked on the English-dubbed version of the show.

Sonny Strait, who has long been the voice of Krillin in the series, confirmed that he participated along with Chris Sabat and Colleen Clinkenbeard. Sabat, like Strait, has been a part of the show for a long time. He revealed on his Twitter account that the people behind Ford’s ad campaign were actually huge fans of the show.

The second trailer was just recently released and featured a few more beloved DBZ characters. Sabat returned to voice Piccolo and Mike McFarland reprised his role as Master Roshi. The commercial shows Goten and Trunks doing the fusion dance, but instead of transforming into Gotenks, they become a Ford Fusion. Get it?! Because Fusion and Ford Fusion!….Anyway, you can check out both commercials below.

At this time, there is no info on whether or not there will be more.

What do you think about the ads? Do you like them or has Ford ruined your childhood? Let us know in the comments below.
