There were many big games released in November including Call of Duty: Black Ops III, Fallout 4, Rise of the Tomb Raider, and Star Wars Battlefront. Only one can be number one, and according to the NPD Group, Black Ops III was the top-selling game of November 2015 for the North American retail market.

Black Ops III‘s first-month sale was able to outperform last year’s Advanced Warfare’s first month. Second place goes to Fallout 4, with Star Wars Battlefront in third place.

Black Ops III being available for the new-gen and old-gen consoles definitely helped drive sales since Fallout 4 and Battlefront were only released for the PS4, Xbox One and PC.

As for hardware sales, the PlayStation 4 was the top seller, beating out the Xbox One and Nintendo Wii U.

Check out the full top-ten list below along with the platform it sold the most in from left to right.

“Black Ops III was the largest release in North America in November by a wide-margin in both units and dollars sold-thru,” said Call of Duty SVP and GM Rob Kostich. “According to NPD, Call of Duty also was the largest release of any title in North America since 2013, based on physical units sold at retail in its launch month. There’s tremendous momentum for Call of Duty this holiday. Both retail and digital sales are up significantly versus the same time last year. And our community has responded enthusiastically, driving engagement to new franchise highs on next gen consoles in its first month of release.”

The month of November in 2015 saw many big AAA games, so it’s no surprise that November 2015 was the biggest month for video game sales for current-generation consoles.
