Digimon Tri airing on Crunchyroll starting today

After Digmon tri was announced as a six-part theatrical film series rather than an animated series, the question remained of how long fans in North America would have to wait for some sort of release after it aired in Japan. Well I’m excited to say the wait won’t be long at all, as Crunchyroll announced late yesterday that they have acquired the rights to stream tri. in the United States, Canada, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, and Latin America

Even better news is the first four episodes of Digimon tri are available as of today, meaning you can watch tri the same day Japan does which is amazing (the fan in me way too excited to watch).

The next release for tri won’t be until the Winter season of 2016, so there is a bit of a wait, but then again we’ve waited 15 years to see a new adventure with the original team.
