Daniel Craig would rather ‘slash’ his wrist than do another Bond movie

Daniel Craig, who’s going to star in the upcoming 007’s SPECTRE, once said in an interview that he would play James Bond “as long as I’m physically able.” Now it looks like he’s fed up with the character and doesn’t care who’s going to be the next Bond.

In an interview with TimeOut, Craig was asked whether he’d do another Bond film. His response? He joked about committing suicide.

“Now? I’d rather break this glass and slash my wrists,” Craig said. “No, not at the moment. Not at all. That’s fine. I’m over it at the moment. We’re done. All I want to do is move on.”

He did add that if he were to do another Bond film, “it would only be for the money.”

There are many who would like Idris Elba to be the next Bond. Craig doesn’t even care about it.

“Look, I don’t give a fuck. Good luck to them,” Craig answered. “All I care about is that if I stop doing these things we’ve left it in a good place and people pick it up and make it better.”

Craig did offer advice on whoever is going to be the next British spy.

“Don’t be shit,” Craig said. “You’ve got to step up. People do not make movies like this anymore. This is really rare now. So don’t be shit.”

SPECTRE hits theaters on November 6, 2015.
