Kevin Feige reveals Captain America: Civil War as the end of a trilogy

Captain America The Winter Soldier

Whoa, did Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige just confirmed that Captain America: Civil War is going to end the Captain America trilogy? Or maybe he’s hinting that Steve Rogers’ story will end in Civil War, with a new Captain America rising in future movies.

During a Q&A event for the Avengers: Age of Ultron Blu-ray and DVD release, Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige talks about how this could be the end of Cap.

“It’s very much, in a certain way, the completion of a Captain America trilogy,” Feige explained.

“I think one day you’ll look back and watch — ’Captain America: The First Avenger,’ ’Captain America: The Winter Soldier,’ and ’Captain America: Civil War’ — and it’ll be one of the most unique and different trilogies ever around a single character.”

Is Marvel going to kill off Cap? Are we going to see either Bucky (Sebastian Stan), aka The Winter Soldier, or Falcon (Anthony Mackie) take the mantle?

We’ll find out once Captain America: Civil War hits theaters on May 6, 2016.
