So it has been announced that Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is going to be rated PG-13 by the MPAA. I know, I know, you’re not surprised. What is revealing is that we get some information on why it’s PG-13, and it includes “intense sequences of violence and action throughout, and some sensuality.”

Oooh, sensuality. Could we be getting a sensual scene involving Wonder Woman? Perhaps Superman (Henry Cavill) and Lois Lane (Amy Adams) are going to get it on? Or maybe we’ll get to see a tender moment with Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck) and Alfred (Jeremy Irons)? I’m kidding with that one, or am I?

The Batman films and many live-action comic book films have been PG-13. Only a few are rated R including Watchmen, Dredd and the upcoming Deadpool film. R-rated comic book films tend to not really do great at the box office, so it’s not surprising to see the PG-13 rating for Batman v Superman.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice will have Batman going up against Superman. Each hero has their own philosophy, and it’ll be interesting to see how the two will put their beef aside so that they can against a bigger threat.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice hits theaters on March 25, 2016.
