New still from season 2 of The Flash

The CW has released a still of the soon approaching upcoming sophomore season of the hit show, The Flash. In the image, we see Joe (Jesse L. Martin) with his gun drawn towards a direction off camera, while the rest of the gang, including Barry (Grant Gustin), Iris (Candice Patton), Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker), Dr. Stein (Victor Garber) and Cisco (Carlos Valdez), watch on with a confused, yet frightened look.

“We pick up about six months later, and we’re going to piece together how the storm has affected everyone,” says Grant Gustin, speaking about the large blackhole that tore through Central City in last season’s finale. In the aftermath of the chaos, with Barry stopping the Reverse-Flash, and changing history, one would wonder how much of the future had been changed?  “It’s not as different as you’d think,” Gustin states, “but as we move forward, some things will blow fans’ minds.”

One of the things that’s pretty cool to notice about the image is that it’s another chance to see Barry Allen’s new Flash outfit in the background, one designed Maya Mani, the costume designer who also created the new battle-ready uniform that Stephen Amell’s Oliver Queen will be wearing on the upcoming season of Arrow. Also, Cisco is wearing a really trippy cat shirt.

What other things do you see in the still that gives us a clue for what to expect in the second season? What are you looking forward to? Let us know by leaving a comment below!

The Flash season two premiere airs at 8 p.m. October 6th on the CW.
