Every year I look forward to seeing Udon Entertainment at San Diego Comic-Con, and every year it has some really cool exclusive Capcom-related items. This year was no different, since it had two hardcover Street Fighter books and a set of metal collectible cards that they designed. During the panel Udon was giving away an exclusive Chun-Li Shikishi drawn by Akiman, who has also designed the cover for the Art of Street Fighter 25th hardcover book. The compny also announced some of its upcoming releases.

Udon recently released the Asura’s Wrath: Official Complete Works, Border Break Artworks (a mech game that has never released outside of Japan) and recently the Essential Evangelion Chronicle: Side A, which looks at the first half of the Evangelion series and explains the story while featuring character art and Eva designs.

Udon has a huge variety of releases coming out this year for gaming and anime fans, later in the fall. The Essential Evangelion Chronicle: Side B will be released which takes a look at the last half of the Evangelion series and original movie and explains the story even further. It’ll features artwork and designs from the series. Senran Kagura, Record of the Agarest War, along with Shining Blade & Ark art books will be released for JRPG fans in July.

For Yu-gi-oh! fans, the Duel Art: Kauzuki Takahasi Yu-Gi-Oh! Illustration will be released in August, and it will feature a collection of artwork from the original series and GX. September has three different Capcom artbooks set to release including the Art of Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Duel Destines, Devil May Cry 3142: Graphic Arts featuring artwork from Devil May Cry 1-4, and Capcom Fighting Tribute. Along with the release of the Duel Destinies art book, Capcom will re-release the original Phoenix Wright art book.

For manga fans Udon will release Kill la Kill, Persona 4, and release the manga classics line which has many old manga titles that were never released in North America.

Chun-li’s story will be told in the Street Fighter Legends: Chun-Li Hardcover book, and as for Charlie Nash, Udon will be releasing Street Fighter V: The Life and Death(s) of Charlie Nash. It will begin with his story and Alpha and explain what has happened to him leading to to Street Fighter V. While Nash’s art book was released as an SDCC exclusive hardcover, Udon will be releasing the book in the future.

For new announcements, Udon will be releasing the Steins;Gate manga starting in August and will be releasing the Shin Megami Tensei IV: Artworks collection in October.

Udon will be adding new Street Fighter comics to read online weekly moving forward, and announced a new monthly comic series called Street Fighter Unlimited which will come out in December.

Shovel Knight fans can look forward to the Shovel Knight art book coming in 2016. Udon will be working with Yacht Club Games to release a full collection of art work and information about the game. Udon will also release the Persona Q: Official Visual Materials and the Eyes of Bayonetta 2 art book.
