SDCC 2015: Bryan Cranston talks to us about SuperMansion

Cast and Crew of SuperMansion

Bryan Cranston’s been keeping his head low since Breaking Bad. Now he’s back in animated form as a washed-up, old Superhero in Crackle’s new original series, SuperMansion.

Produced  by the Stoopid Buddy Studios team over at Robot ChickenSuperMansion chronicles the daily lives of a group of dysfunctional superheroes living under one roof led by Cranston’s seasoned but cranky aged leader, Titanium Rex. It’s a series that looks to turn the superhero genre and its tropes on its head on what it’s like to see Superheroes when their your roommates and not your savior.

Cranston is not the only star of the series, there’s also an all star voice cast:

  • Seth Green (Robot Chicken, Austin Powers)
  • Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele (Key & Peele)
  • Jillian Bell (22 Jump Street)
  • Chris Pine (Star Trek)
  • Ron Perlman (Hellboy)
  • Famke Janssen (X-Men)
  • Donald Faison (Scrubs)
  • Breckin Meyer (Road Trip)
  • Anton Yelchin (Terminator Salvation)
  • Nick Kroll (Adult Beginners)

We were at on-hand at San Diego Comic-Con with other outlets to get the scoop on what Cranston and Jullian Bell thought about working on the series and thoughts about playing their characters (Bryan can fly apparently!). What enticed him about the project was the premises of the superheroes living together and dealing with one another. He talks about his “big beefy thighs” among other things. Cranston was extremely candid and lively the whole time during the interview, and we got a short clip of it right here.

“When I have no expression, when there’s nothing going on; I look mean!”
