MOS Reach Go: The portable charger that charges everything

MOS Reach GO Charger

We’ve all had that moment of panic. We get to our local coffee house and realize that our laptop is going to die, but there are no seats near plugs. I have turned around and gone someplace else many times because of this very scenario. Well the good folks over at MOS are putting an end to that nightmare with their new charger: the Reach Go.

This USB-C portable charger is the first that can charge a USB-C laptop (like the new MacBook or Chromebook Pixel) at the same rate as if it was plugged into a wall outlet. Not only that, but the Reach Go utilizes Etron’s new 100-watt USB-C charge controller, which means that it can also charge your tablet and smartphone at the same time while you are charging your laptop.

The Reach Go doesn’t stop there. Even though it comes with a 15,000 mAh capacity battery (which is enough to charge the new MacBook 3 times), it still only takes about 4 hours to charge. The portable charger I use on a daily basis is 8,000 mAh and it will sometimes not even be fully charged overnight. In addition to being a portable charger, it can also utilize the three USB ports (one USB-C and two USB type A) to become a USB 3.0 hub.

The MOS Reach Go will be available in October for $99, which seems like a bargain for everything it can do compared to other portable chargers at that price point. Unfortuately, there is no option to pre-order it, but if you register your email on the MOS Website, they will let you know when it is available.

Is this something that you can see yourself using? Keep the conversation going in the comments below.
