To close out Bethesda’s first E3 showcase, Bethesda showed off a LOT of information regarding the showcase’s crown jewel: Fallout 4. Fallout 4 has been in development for the past 4 years (with pre-production starting since after Fallout 3). From the look of it, all 4 years seem to be worth every second since this game is MASSIVE.

The game starts before the bombs fell and as with any Fallout game, you start at the character customize screen. Each facial feature is customizable, and all you have to do is click and sculpt. The name you enter at the beginning of the game can also be spoken by the NPC in the game as well. Bethesda has recorded thousands of the most popular names in the world.

When you’re done with the prologue and continue with the game, you find out that your character is the sole survivor of Vault 111 and has been in there for the past 200 years. How? Well that’s something that will be revealed as you play the game.

As you traverse through the Boston wastelands, be on the lookout for everything and anything that you can hoard. That’s because everything will be used to build and upgrade in the game. There are 50 base weapons in the game and over 700 modifications in the game — including your power armor. In addition, new to the Fallout series is a Minecraftian style settlement builder. Different sections in the game will allow you to build settlements any way you like it. Just collect supplies for your settlement and start building. You can also send caravans in between each of your settlements as well.

If that wasn’t enough, Bethesda also announced that the Fallout 4: Pip-Boy Edition. Included in this collector’s edition is a real Pip-Boy that works with your phone. The phone acts like a second-screen where you can use your phone like an actual Pip-Boy. No word on pricing for the Fallout 4: Pip-Boy Edition yet but we assume it’ll be over $100.

UPDATE: The Fallout 4: Pip-Boy Edition is now available for pre-order and cost $119.00.

Now for the biggest surprise of the evening, Fallout 4 will be release on November 10, 2015. Bethesda has been known to release games soon after its trailer announcement (Skyrim), so it’s not surprising that Fallout 4 would follow suit and come out this year.

Are you excited yet?

Fallout 4 comes out for PS4, Xbox One and PC on November 10th.
