Ex Machina’s Alicia Vikander to co-star in Assassin’s Creed movie?

Ex Machina alicia vikander

Alicia Vikander has made a name for herself starring as an AI robot in Alex Garland’s Ex Machina. What’s next for the Swedish actress? Apparently she’s in talks to appear in the Assassin’s Creed movie, which is based on the Ubisoft video game franchise, and also a new Bourne movie (via Deadline).

According to the site, they’re making sure that the schedules aren’t conflicting, and that the actress is likely to ditch The Circle, a film starring Tom Hanks. (Personally, I wouldn’t pass up an opportunity to act opposite Mr. Hanks.) Now it’s reported that Emma Watson is going to replace Vikander in that role as a young female lead.

Michael Fassbender and Marion Cotillard are starring in the Assassin’s Creed movie with Justin Kurzel as director. The film is scheduled to hit theaters on December 21, 2016.

The next Bourne movie is expected to hit theaters on July 29, 2016, with Paul Greengass returning to direct and Matt Damon returning to star.
