A new King Kong attraction heads to Universal Orlando Resort

King Kong has been prominently featured at the Universal Studios parks. Now Universal Orlando Resort’s Islands of Adventure will have a new King Kong attraction called Skull Island: Reign of Kong.

The attraction will premiere in summer 2016 and will have guests feeling like they are part of the adventure. The first part will have them inside the wild world as they discover new creatures. However, this will then turn into a fight for survival, as they’ll come across hostile natives inside an ancient temple, prehistoric creatures roaming the dangerous jungle, a cave filled with frightening things, and of course, King Kong himself.

The Universal Creative team is working with Peter Jackson, who directed 2005’s King Kong, to help bring the ride to life.
