Real life Danganronpa Murder Mystery

April 4th will be your chance to get in on all the fun because NIS America will be hosting a Danganronpa themed murder mystery during San Diego’s Anime Conji. The developers and publishers have released this instructional video in order to show you a teaser of what they have in store for those lucky enough to attend.

The event kicks off at 10AM at the Sheraton Hotel where the contestants will have until 6PM to find all 5 clues hidden throughout the hotel so that they may have a chance to catch the cosplaying character who committed the crime by accusing them in a trial. If successful contestants are promised the ability to leave for figuring out the crime correctly but that if guessed wrong they will be punished which sounds just about right from Monokuma the equally innocent and malicious teddy bear.

As weird as it sounds I am intrigued by the whole idea of adding a consequence to attendees of the event if they make the wrong choice at the event. Unfortunately I won’t be attending so I will just have to wait and read about the outcome of the trial at the event.
