SNL pays tribute to Leonard Nimoy with Star Trek skit

SNL decided to pay tribute to Leonard Nimoy this past weekend by having a sketch titled “Emergency Room: Worf M.D.”, where the doctor (played by Kenan Thompson) is called into the hospital on his day off. He just cameĀ from a Star Trek convention dressed as Klingon Lieutenant Worf from Star Trek: The Next Generation. He ended the sketch with the Vulcan salute and roaring the Klingon battle cry. The sketch was kinda tacky, but I understood what they were trying to do. They tried.

After the sketch, there was an image of Nimoy as his famous character Mr. Spock giving the Vulcan salute: Live Long and Prosper. That was sweet.
