Will Spider-Man make additional cameos all over the MCU?

Spider-Man 5

The latest news of Spider-Man finally appearing in the Marvel Cinematic Universe pretty much exploded through the Internet like a firestorm. I’m actually still reeling from that surprise announcement by Sony and Marvel since it literally just came out of nowhere. (Well, there were clues.) Now the Marvel fans have moved on to the next question of where is good ‘old Spidey is going to show up?

From an article that we just posted, it looks like there’s a rumor going around via an inside source from The Wall Street Journal that Spider-Man will appear in Captain America: Civil War. Now that’s a interesting bit of news since it was reported earlier that they would begin filming the movie even without Spider-Man. Spider-Man played a major role in the Civil War comic book series, and we don’t know how big his role will be in this upcoming movie. Will he be normal Peter Parker in that? Or will he actually be one of the sideline heroes that Cap runs into?

Marvel Studios currently has the television series Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and the upcoming Netflix series Daredevil. Could Spider-Man make a cameo in those series as well? In the comics, Spidey has crossed paths with S.H.I.E.L.D., Daredevil, Punisher, Iron Fist, Blade, Ghost Rider, Luke Cage, and many others. He has teamed up and fought with so many heroes that I’ve lost count. However in Marvel’s television and cinematic universe, this is history in the making and frankly we’re all very very excited for it.

Daredevil Spider

So again the question is asked, where could Spidey show up? Personally, I think that Spider-Man should show up in all these series since Spidey was originally a street level hero before he started hanging out with the big boys, aka The Avengers. Him making an appearance or at least being mentioned in the other movies and series would not only appease the fans, but would make both Marvel and Sony extremely happy on the profitable side. Spider-Man’s character can fit into pretty much any situation, since he’s experienced everything the comics have thrown at him. If he enters Daredevil’s dark-hero series, Spidey could help lighten up Daredevil’s character for a bit with his humorous wit. Also, could you imagine the banter between Spidey, Iron Man, and Rocket Raccoon? I think there’d be nonstop yuks in that entire scene.

Wherever Marvel chooses to cameo Spider-Man, I really hope it all goes as well as we’ve been planning in our heads. For the past several years, we’ve all been yelling and voicing our opinions on the net to both Sony and Marvel Studios to get Spider-Man into the MCU. Now that he’s here, we’re all pretty much at a loss for words on where else we’d like him to be. Captain America: Civil War cannot come soon enough, because the moment I see Spider-Man hanging out with Captain America, I think everyone’s brains will explode from pure glee. Here’s to more years with our favorite heroes and our favorite web-head!

Oh and….welcome home, Spider-Man. 🙂
