PlayStation Plus tops Xbox Live with free games in 2014

XboxLive-Playstation4Here’s some interesting info that just came to light. Gaming news site Push Square compiled a list of the all the games PlayStation Plus had released for free during the course of 2014. PlayStation Plus has been giving out free games for a while, and only since July of last year has Microsoft been offering free games for theirs. Seeing as this is the first full-year since the new consoles were released, I think it’s only right to see which one gave the best bang for the buck.

According to Push Square’s report, PlayStation Plus dished out a total of $1,349.29 worth of games in 2014. So for $49.99 you receive about an average of $112.44 worth of gaming each month. Of course this includes both the PS4, PS3 and the PS3. Which amounts to TWENTY-ONE PlayStation 4 games, THIRTY-THREE PlayStation 3 games and THIRTY-ONE PS Vita titles. Seems like a pretty good investment.

It didn’t take long before Polygon to do their own digging and put together a list of the collective worth of all the games Xbox Live released in 2014.
