Ubisoft offers free DLC and a game for Assassin’s Creed Unity issues

I’m currently playing Assassin’s Creed Unity and am enjoying the world of the French Revolution. However, the game has some crazy glitches that has stopped many fans from enjoying the game. These include falling through the ground, not being able to connect to co-op games, walls turning invisible, and many more.

Ubisoft has taken notice, and Ubisoft Montreal CEO Yannis Mallat has made an apology. The game will have a patch fix, but to make up for the fan’s frustration, the company will also be offering a free DLC to all owners of the game.

“I want to sincerely apologize on behalf of Ubisoft and the entire Assassin’s Creed team,” Mallat said. “These problems took away from your enjoyment of the game, and kept many of you from experiencing the game at its fullest potential.”

There’s even better news for those with a Season Pass.

“To show our appreciation for your continued support, we’re making the upcoming Assassin’s Creed Unity Dead Kings DLC free for everyone. For Season Pass holders, we will also offer the choice of one additional game from a selection of Ubisoft titles for free.”

One of the eligible titles include Far Cry 4. That’s a big title, and those who are Season Pass holders will get a chance to get that game for free.

Check out the eligible games below. A system will be put in place soon.

  • The Crew
  • Far Cry 4
  • Watch Dogs
  • Assassin’s Creed Black Flag
  • Rayman Legends
  • Just Dance 2015

If you’re thinking about getting the season pass, think again. It’s no longer on sale. The DLC will be available via an in-game link and will be coming soon.

As for the new patch, this one will be fixing over 300 issues on stability, gameplay, progression and more.

“While you might notice some improvements to framerate as a result of Patch 3, we still have a future patch planned to further address framerate concerns,” says Ubisoft.
