After the announcement that is Jem and the Holograms, Hasbro is at it again with turning their properties into full-length feature films, and this time, it’s My Little Pony. The toy company will be teaming up with Allspark Pictures (named after the cube from Michael Bay’s Transformers) to create the animated film to be released in 2017, according to Variety. Both Jem and Pony will be the first to be produced under Allspark Pictures.

Joe Ballarini will be penning the script, with My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic mastermind Megan McCarthy serving as co-executive producer.

This isn’t the first time the My Little Pony franchise is getting a movie, but the 2017 animated movie will be a big budget film.

What do you guys think of a My Little Pony movie?
