Wonder Woman to be a demigod in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice?

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice producer Charles Roven was interviewed recently about the film including why they chose Ben Affleck to play Batman. (They wanted an actor to tower over Henry Cavill.) Near the end of the interview, he also revealed the origins for the live-action Wonder Woman.

In the original comics, Wonder Woman was created from clay. I don’t know about you, but I think that is lame. It looks like Warner Bros. is going to use the New 52’s origin, which I think is better and cooler. Instead of being brought to life from clay, she’s now a demigod who has Zeus as a father and Hippolyta, Queen of the Amazons, as a mother.

Roven said, “She’s a demigod. Her father was Zeus.”

It could be that he’s just stating her origin that’s known from the New 52 comics, but it seems like he’s letting people know of her backstory that’s going to take place in the upcoming DC films.
