GTA V still on track for PS4 and Xbox One this fall despite delayed rumor

It’s rumored that Grand Theft Auto V for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC has been delayed for a 2015 release. Rockstar has confirmed that it is false, with the game still on course for a Fall 2014 release.

The rumor came about when VG247 suggested that the game might be pushed back a year later, but Rockstar squashed the idea on its support site, saying that it “has not changed”.

“I’m also looking forward to the PC release, however this release date has not changed,” wrote Rockstar support. “Please see our support article, ‘Grand Theft Auto V Release Date on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC’ for the most recent information on this topic.”

So when can we actually expect the game to come out? GAME has hinted that it has received a “provisional” November release date.

Since I already have GTA V for the PlayStation 3, I’ll be passing on this. I wonder how many who have already owned the game will double dip for the new-gen re-release?
