Steelseries: Siberia Elite WoW Edition for Warlords of Draenor announced!

Our 2013 Headset of The Year, the Steelseries: Siberia Elite is getting an aggressive makeover in anticipation of the next World of Warcraft expansion, Warlords of Draenor. We already loved the original, but this one just looks so damn good! Originally seeing this pair at E3 2014, it immediately caught my eye. It’s difficult to resist a product which combines my two addictions, 7.1 Dolby Surround and World of Warcraft.

“Our partnership with Blizzard Entertainment to create unique gear for the World of Warcraft community has culminated in this bold new version of our premium and award-winning headset—a perfect complement to Blizzard’s upcoming Warlords of Draenor expansion,” said Tino Soelberg, SteelSeries CTO. “Players deserve the best quality audio to experience the music and sounds of Draenor; this exclusive edition of the Siberia Elite headset delivers epic audio quality in a beautiful World of Warcraft-themed design.”

The “WoD” Siberia Elite features high fidelity audio augmented with jet-black ear cushions, illuminated runes, and a lightweight over-the-head suspension style fit. Apart from aesthetics and improved cushion design (slightly smaller than the original), it’s the same amazing headset that blew us away last year.

As with all modern Steelseries products, the SE3 (Steelseries Engine 3), the company’s proprietary peripheral configuration software, will allow a user to modify everything from pitch levels to illumination zones and styles for the rune etchings around the ear cuffs.

No release date has been given as of yet, with only promises of Soon™ (Our guess is at Blizzcon 2014, since Steelseries has a tendency toward con releases) . Still, this shouldn’t stop you from pre-ordering the headset from the online store $209.99 MSRP, as this may well be a limited edition first release. On a side note, Steelseries is also having a %25 sale on ALL Siberia line headsets from now until August 24th!
