DIGIMON All-Star Rumble launches November 11th

DIGIMON All Star Rumble LOGODo you enjoy playing Smash? Were you a fan of PlayStation All-Stars? Are you a fan of Digimon? If yes, then you’re in luck because Bandai Namco has an important announcement just for you! There’s going to be a new Digimon fighting game for the Xbox 360 and PS3. This is the one we’ve been asking for, and here it is folks.

DIGIMON All-Star Rumble is a thrilling party-arena multiplayer game based on the popular Digimon franchise that includes a toy line, television series, anime, manga, films and a variety of video games. It’s scheduled to launch at retailers in the Americas for the PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system and Xbox 360 games and entertainment system from Microsoft on November 11, 2014.

In DIGIMON All-Star Rumble, the Digital World enjoys a time of restored peace after overcoming numerous wars and crises. However, the restless Digimon must still battle to Digi-volve, so they propose to hold their first ever “Digimon Evolution Tournament” to determine who is the strongest of them all. In the vivaciously competitive tournament, up to four players will be able to select from a roster of 12 popular base Digimon characters and play as a total of 32 Digimon forms pulled from every Digimon television series ranging from Digimon Adventure to Digimon Fusion. Players control these digital monsters and battle for supremacy in the main Versus Battle mode that players of all skill levels will be able to pick up and enjoy.

The gameplay revolves somewhat about the acquisition of power orbs required to reach a more powerful form, rather than perform a super-move. I’ve played its predecessor, Digimon: Rumble Arena 2, on Gamecube, and if it’s anywhere near as fun, this is a great game to pick up for any fan of Digimon who just wants to get together with friends and have a fun time with nostalgic characters.
