Keiji Inafune was the Guest of Honor at this year’s Anime Expo 2014. He talked about his career, ambitions and many things about Mighty No. 9, which included a very special trailer announcing Mighty No. 9: The Animated Series.

While the project is still very early in development, Inafune talked about how he wanted to create an IP that could be much more than just a video game, but something fun everyone can enjoy. There is no timetable for the animation and Inafune also assured fans that all the money that was raised, via the Kickstarter for the development of the game, will only being used for the game.

Keiji Inafune also announced he will be launching a follow up Kickstarter for Mighty No. 9, after traveling the world and hearing more ideas from fans and what they would like to see added to the game. For fans who said they wanted to support the Kickstarter but didn’t have money or were too late will be given a second chance soon, which will be announced via the Mighty No. 9 website.
