Halo’s Master Chief motorcycle helmet

Halo Helmet

It seems like NECA is going for the major wow factor for their collaboration with Microsoft by creating a Halo motorcycle helmet based on Master Chief’s headgear.

NECA is not the first to get inspiration from a video game or movie to create themed motorcycle helmets. A Russian company has created one based on the Predator movie. Unfortunately for that one it was not DOT or SNELL approved. Luckily for you this one DOT approved but not SNELL as of now. SNELL certification may come at a later date.

Here’s the press release sent out late last year when they announced their partnership with 343 Industries:

The new line will be available to consumers beginning in April 2014, and will include a wide assortment of products, including 1:4 scale action figures, mini figures, DOT-approved motorcycle helmets, prop replicas, board games, and HeroClix miniatures games for a variety of platforms.

Even though I do not own a motorcycle, this would be badass to own. Currently this project is in prototype phase and is expected to launch next year. I will guess it will launch at or close to the Halo 5 release date. It’s a shame no A.I. comes with it.

Here’s brief description of the helmet from NECA:

Whether you’re on a Honda dirt bike, a custom Harley or a vintage Vespa, the Halo Master Chief Motorcycle Helmet will offer the full-face protection preferred by Master Chief (and savvy bikers everywhere). A.I. not included.
