San Diego Comic-Con souvenir book cover revealed

Yesterday the cover for the upcoming San Diego Comic-Con souvenir book was revealed and it was what I expected it to be, with the cover depicting Batman and illustrated by Jim Lee. I never doubted it was not going to be Batman especially on the 75th anniversary.

And not only is Batman celebrating the 75th anniversary, there are also a few other key anniversaries happening this year. This year marks Bill Finger’s 100th birthday, February 18th to be exact. He was a key contributor to Batman and has brought many characters and key locations to the Batman lore.

Another anniversary to note is the 50th anniversary of the “new look” Batman, which started in 1964 under Julius Schwartz and artist Carmine Infantino. Finally, it is the 25th anniversary of Tim Burton’s Batman which introduced him to the mass audience and introduced the world to a darker Batman.
