Stan Lee fires back at David Goyer’s She-Hulk porn comment

David S. Goyer, the writer for Man of Steel and The Dark Knight trilogy, isn’t winning a lot of points in the comic fandom department. First he made fun of Martian Manhunter fans, implying that they are all virgins. Second, he disrespected She-Hulk by saying that she was a porn star.

Now comic book legend Stan Lee has a thing or two to say about that. In an interview with Washington Post, Stan Lee said that he was “looking for a new female superhero, and the idea of an intelligent Hulk-type grabbed me.” Lee even said that She-Hulk was never suppose to be a “thing” for Hulk. “Never for an instant did I want her as a love interest for Hulk,” Lee said.

This was in response to Goyer’s interview with Scriptnotes, as transcribed by The Mary Sue, where he says that She-Hulk was a sexual object meant to be Hulk’s play buddy:

And so then they created She-Huk, right? Who was still smart… I think She-Hulk is the chick that you could fuck if you were Hulk, you know what I’m saying? … She-Hulk was the extension of the male power fantasy. So it’s like if I’m going to be this geek who becomes the Hulk then let’s create a giant green porn star that only the Hulk could fuck.

We all know that’s not possible, since Bruce Banner and Jennifer Walters are cousins. It’s like why Superman and Supergirl can’t get with each other, unless you all think incest is okay.
