EA to shut down classic game servers

So earlier today EA put out a list of servers for older games that’ll be shutting down this year.

Now granted this may not seem like much of a big deal, but some of these games are still played regularly, like Battlefield 2 and Red Alert 3. This also comes as a kick in the nuts because of the fact that EA recently had a sale for Battlefield 2 bundles and others, making this not only a dick move, but also just plain sleazy on their part.

Though many dedicated players will just make third party servers, this also seems like some kind of forewarning to people who buy games that are 90% multiplayer: The games you buy have a limited shelf life, even if the game still works. $60 well spent, huh?

What do you say to describe a guy who only sleeps 4 days out of the week? Probably a lot but if you ever see an obscure story about some kind of food product, indie game or something that doesn't quite fit on this site, you can (almost) guarantee this guy wrote it. Whether or not he was awake while it was written is anybody's guess.
