Call of Duty Championship 2014: The Finals – Day Three


The Call of Duty Championship began on Friday with 32 teams from all over the world competing to be the best of the best. One million dollars is on the line split among the top 8 teams, along with an amazing first place trophies and championship rings for the first place team.

Heading into Day 3, there were eight teams left. CompLexity was definitely the fan favorite and the team to beat. The team is composed of Patrick “Aches” Price, Tyler “TeePee” Polchow, Damon “Karma” Barlow and Ian “Crimsix” Porter. They faced off against OpTic Gaming in the winner finals, in which CompLexity won, sending OpTic Gaming to the losers finals to face off against a very hungry EnVyUs. In what started off as a close match, EnVyUs dominated and took out OpTic Gaming from the competition as they finish in third place.

Next was the first look at the upcoming Call of Duty: Ghosts DLC “Devastation” which shows off the much anticipated addition to the game, The Predator.

After the reveal it was time for the finals, CompLexity vs. EnVyUs, with CompLexity still in the winners bracket. EnVyUs needed to win three matches to reset the bracket and then 3 more to win. It started with Domination and the first round was close with CompLexity leading by a few points. However EnVyUs struggled in the end, losing to some quick and amazing teamwork from CompLexity as they dominated the rest of the games quickly, taking first place to be your Call of Duty Championship 2014 champions.

3rd: OpTic Gaming – $120,000
4th: Strictly Business – $100,000
5th: Trident T1dotters – $70,000
6th: FaZe – $50,000
7th: Rise Nation – $35,000
8th: VexX Revenge – $25,000
