Super Smash Bros. Melee added to EVO 2014 line up

Shoryuken has announced that Super Smash Bros. Melee has been added to Evolution 2014’s tournament line up. It was unknown if the game would return to this year’s line up because of last year, but it looks like Nintendo has given the okay.

Super Smash Bros. Melee was added last year as the final game after a charity event raised the most money. Right before EVO 2013, however, Nintendo had sent an order to the organizers to not run the game on stream, which created a huge community backlash in which Nintendo quickly reversed the request.

EVO 2014 will run from July 11-13, 2014 from the Las Vegas Hotel & Casino.
