Gamdias – New PC gaming peripherals from Taiwan look pretty sweet

So, I checked my e-mail a few minutes ago.

GAMDIAS (GAM, standing for Gaming Art in Motion and DIAS meaning God) is coming on
the scene with products distinctive of Greek mythology gods, while
seeking to harness their powers and incorporate them into each
peripheral – sure to redefine the gaming world landscape. Thus,
GAMDIAS, is the god of gaming.

A bold statement, Gamdias, for a relative newcomer in the U.S. gaming scene. We, American gamers are quite proud of our Nagas and Senseis. What can you show us, the master race, what will redefine the landscape of gaming as we know it? Well, it seems like a fine array of flashy, tron-like peripherals.

That, is one huge wrist-rest. Wasn’t Hermes the swift messenger of the gods? While I understand the messenger being the text input, this keyboard looks like a large, lumbering, Goliath worth of the title Hephaestus. Otherwise, the Hermes looks to be a very solid, well build mechanical cherry mx keyboard.

Well, I’ve been wrong, but come on, that god had nothing to do with sound! Ok, that’s besides the point, but Hermes invented the lyre, the pipes, and the musical scale, come on!
Ok, i’m done with the mini-rant now, but what really stands out about this headset is the interesting heat sink they’ve build into the cups. I’m extremely curious as to if this really makes a significant difference.

With some work on naming, I think Gamdias has the potential to do very well in the U.S. market. We’ll know more about these with time, but for now, check out their site at www.Gamdias.com. Happy slaying.
