Blade Runner -The Aquarelle Edition is amazing
Artist Anders Ramsell has taken the Ridley Scott’s masterpiece Blade Runner (adapted itself from “Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?” by Phillip K. Dick) and created a 35 minute animated version of the film using “12,597 handmade aquarelle paintings”. Blade Runner – The Aquarelle Edition might just be a masterpiece unto itself.
NR EIC John “Spartan” Nguyen had covered Ramsell’s previous “teaser” for this project last year, and now it’s finally finished. This “paraphrase” of the original film is a gorgeous testament to handmade craftsmanship, turning an already amazing film into something that is truly “more human than human”.
