Blade Runner -The Aquarelle Edition is amazing

blade-runner-watercolorsArtist Anders Ramsell has taken the Ridley Scott’s masterpiece Blade Runner (adapted itself from “Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?” by Phillip K. Dick) and created a 35 minute animated version of the film using “12,597 handmade aquarelle paintings”. Blade Runner – The Aquarelle Edition might just be a masterpiece unto itself.

NR EIC John “Spartan” Nguyen had covered Ramsell’s previous “teaser” for this project last year, and now it’s finally finished. This “paraphrase” of the original film is a gorgeous testament to handmade craftsmanship, turning an already amazing film into something that is truly “more human than human”.

Watch Blade Runner – The Aquarelle Edition below in all of it’s brilliant 35 minutes.
