Terrence Howard puts Robert Downey Jr on blast for not helping him reprise his role in Iron Man 2

Terrence Howard, who played James Rhodes in the first Iron Man film, has been known to express his bitterness towards Marvel Studios. He says that the studio didn’t honor the three-picture contract deal they had, because Marvel doesn’t believe Howard should be getting paid a lot for the sequels.

Well, Howard is at it again by revealing that Robert Downey Jr. was also another factor that prevented him from reprising his role as Rhodes. During the Bravo TV interview while promoting The Best Man Holiday, he dishes out the dirt.

“Well, it turns out…and this is gonna get me in a lot of trouble. It turns out that the person that I helped become Iron Man, when it was time to re-up for the second one took the money that was supposed to go to me and pushed me out.”

It was pretty obvious that he was mentioning Robert Downey Jr., since it’s known that Howard helped Downey for the role.

“We did a three-picture deal. You did the deal ahead of time. A certain amount for the first one. For the second a certain amount. For the third…they came to me for the second one and said, ‘We will pay you 1/8th of what we contractually had for you, because we think the second one will be successful with or without you.’ And I called my friend who I helped get the first job and he didn’t call me back for three months.”

He was then asked about his relationship with Robert now, to which he said, “Oh, I love him. God’s gonna bless him.”

Hmmm, do you think that was an odd statement?
