‘Mortal Kombat Legacy’ director drops from movie

Mortal Kombat Legacy II Premiere14
On October 25, 2013, a tweet from Mortal Kombat Legacy director Kevin Tancharoen announced his departure from Warner Bro’s intended Mortal Kombat movie.

There is currently no news as to why Kevin had departed the franchise, one which he hoped to reinvigorate starting with his original short film, Mortal Kombat: Rebirth. It was that very short film which caught the attention of Warner Bros and unfolded the possibility that a reboot under Kevin Tancharoen would be possible.

Although the Nerd Reactor crew was present at the premiere for Mortal Kombat Legacy II, we were hoping to see Kevin fulfill his desires to direct that reboot. With news of his departure, the team is keeping their eyes and ears open to see what the visionary director pursues next!
