Kit Kat, the new Android dessert

Kitkat

Today Android has announced their next dessert release, and it’s going to be Kit Kat. As many of you know, Android releases updates based on dessert names starting with Cupcake, Donut, Froyo, Gingerbread, Honeycomb, Ice Cream Sandwich, Jelly Bean and now Kit Kat.

It was rumored before that the new upgrade would be called Key Lime pie. But do to the team’s love for the candy bar Kit Kit, they decided to go with that name. And after reaching out to Nestle, a deal was reached within 24 hours.

No word yet on what new things we can find in the update. And to make this release even sweeter, their words, they have teamed up with Kit Kat to give you a chance to win a new Nexus 7 or Google Play credits. All you have to do is buy the Kit Kats with the trademark Android robot eating a Kit Kat. Look for it in stores near you soon.

Also a picture has surfaced of a Kit Kat android outside the Google headquarters (pictured above).
