WWE Superstars Randy Orton and Daniel Bryan fined for chair shots to the head
Apparently, both WWE Superstars Randy Orton and Daniel Bryan have been legitimately fined for chair shots to the head after their Street Fight Match on the June 24th edition of WWE Monday Night Raw.
This fine comes on the heels of both Dolph Ziggler and Fandango having recently suffered concussions. WWE is clearly taking a larger focus on the health and well-being of their Superstars by making an example of things like head shots with chairs in fear of their superstars suffering injuries and concussions. They even have an interview with one the WWE doctors posted on WWE.com discussing concussions and injuries.
WWE COO Triple H further backs the notion of fining superstars who utilize chair shots to the head as he states in an interview with WWE.com:
“We don’t allow chair shots to the head in WWE,” WWE COO Triple H informed WWE.com. “We understand it was in the heat of the moment but we take this very seriously and as a result, [Orton and Bryan] were fined.”
WWE has banned chair shots to the head and Randy Orton’s punt kick because of fear of concussions. In the past, WWE would always utilize chair shots to the head spots in their matches so WWE going to this length to try and ensure the safety of their talent shows how much the value them. This is definitely a great thing being done by the WWE.
