Doctor Who 50th: The Other Doctors not to return
With David Tennant‘s 10th Doctor making an appearance in the Doctor Who 50th anniversary episode, people have been wondering if the other Doctors would make an appearance. The Ninth Doctor, Christopher Eccleston, reported was in talks with head writer Steven Moffatt for his return but decided to turn it down but wishes the team “all the best”. This has not changed anything in production as filming has already began for the November episode.
When asked about the older Doctors, Sylvester McCoy, Colin Baker and Paul McGann have stated in an interview with an Australian breakfast show that they would not be involved and were traveling all over for conventions.
McCoy has stated, “All the fan bases all over the world believe that [everyone should be involved], but not the producers at the BBC.”
So far, it’s just the 10th Doctor. and his Rose.. or is it? We’ll have to wait for more spoilers or November when the special airs.
