Mr. Peabody & Sherman gets a new 2014 release date

Mr. Peabody and Sherman

DreawmWorks Animation has been consistently good lately, so any movie they churn out is definitely going to be met with open arms from me. Now they’re working on bringing a classic cartoon character back from the 50s, Mr. Peabody, in the upcoming Mr. Peabody & Sherman movie. If it was another studio behind it, I probably wouldn’t give it a chance. Thank god it’s not Universal behind it. Do you remember The Adventures of Rocky & Bullwinkle movie starring Robert Dinero?

DreamWorks Animation has announced a new release date for Mr. Peabody & Sherman, which is now going to be released on March 7, 2014, at the request of FOX. Its original release date was November 1, 2013. Now that it’s been pushed back, DreamWorks Animation’s Me & My Shadow, which was suppose to be released in March 2014, is going back into development. That movie follows the secret world of shadows and their human counterparts.

Unlike Pixar, which only does one movie a year, DreamWorks Animation pumps out a lot of animated movies a year. The Croods will be out on March 22, 2013; Turbo on July 19, 2013; Mr. Peabody & Sherman on March 7, 2014; How To Train Your Dragon 2 on June 20, 2014 and Happy Smekday! on November 26, 2014. Two movies in 2013 and three movies in 2014? DreamWorks, relax.
