The 3DS eShop is about to be trampled upon by Fire Emblem fans trying to procure their digital copies (February 4th). The demo is out, and based on that, it has great production values and localization, and it’s quite a challenge. Newcomers, don’t be too frightened; there’s an easy mode available. Reviews for Fire Emblem: Awakening stand tall at an average of 91, according to Metacritic. Ikachan is finally being released commercially on the 3DS eShop. It’s one of Daisuke Amaya’s earlier games (blatant hint: he made Cave Story).

The Wii U is getting its fair share as well, with a demo for The Cave, from the mind of Ron Gilbert (Monkey Island, Maniac Mansion). A game called Puddle is out as well. It’s a game in which you tilt your Wii U controller to move a pile of goo around obstacles. It’s probably a ton more fun than it sounds.
