January Jones might not be back as Emma Frost in X-Men: Days of Future Past

Next year, X-Men: Days of Future Past is set to release and with a star-studded cast as well. Unfortunately, one particular character from First Class might not be back. Collider had a chance to speak with January Jones aka Emma Frost at this year’s Sundance Film Festival, where she revealed the somewhat shocking news. She had this to say in regards to returning for the next X-Men film:

“I don’t know that I’m in it, I don’t think Emma’s in this one. Well they haven’t told me if I am (laughs). I wouldn’t put it past them though, I got the script for the first one on the airplane on the way there. It’s called Days of Future Past I think, and I think it’s more about James [McAvoy] and Michael [Fassbender] and then Patrick [Stewart] and Ian [McKellan], and I think it’s gonna go back and forth with those so I don’t think Emma’s in those bits. I don’t know, I really don’t know.”

If you remember at the end of First Class, we saw the possible formation of the Brotherhood of Mutants, with Emma Frost in the picture. I think it is really odd that they would not have asked her to come back, or at least said anything to her in regards to the next film. We already know that Hugh Jackman will be reprising Wolverine in the film, so why isn’t Emma Frost in there as well? Would you like to see January Jones back as Emma Frost and is she worth being in the movie?
