Joseph Gordon-Levitt puts to rest Man of Steel rumors

Joseph Gordon-Levitt, or as I like to call him JGL, has been doing pretty well for himself lately. He just recently sold his directorial debut film at the Sundance Film Festival for a whopping $4 million and he has also recently signed on to join Robert Rodriguez’s cast for Sin City 2. I think it is safe to say that 2013 is looking pretty bright for JGL. I’m so trademarking that.

Anyway, MTV News caught up with dear Joesph at Sundance and they couldn’t help but ask about those pesky Man of Steel cameo rumors.

“I hadn’t heard that one. It just goes to show how much you can believe rumors … I don’t think you should believe in any of them. If there’s something I’m going to be in, I’m going to tell you about it.”

This is true, JGL was the first to break the news of his involvement in Sin City 2 on his personal Twitter before it was ever officially announced by the studio. Then again, this could all be a ploy to throw us off his trail. Well played, JGL.

Chances are that he won’t be in the Man of Steel or the Justice League movie for that matter. Last we heard, The Social Network and The Lone Ranger’s Armie Hammer is in the running to play the caped crusader. It would seem fitting being that he has already played one masked vigilante, but I guess we will have to just wait and see.
