‘Injustice: Gods Among Us’ gets a fight stick for the Battle Edition in North America

injustice GAU_Battle Edition_XBOXAre you a fighting game fan? If you are, then you probably have had at least one fight stick controller in your lifetime. If you haven’t, there’s no shame in admitting that, and now is a good time to start. Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and DC Entertainment have announced a special fight stick for the Injustice: Gods Among Us Battle Edition. It will be available in limited quantities for the Xbox 360 and PS3 at Gamestop and EB Games in the U.S. and Canada. Wait, they still have EB Games around? Update: The regular retail version of the game will be available for the PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii U in North America on April 16, 2013.

The Battle Edition is going to cost you $149.99 and will include the game disc, exclusive fight stick, and three exclusive skins for Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman from DC’s New 52. The fight stick features a “non-skid foam underside, a lockout feature for the Start, Select and Guide buttons, as well as adjustable illumination for the buttons and joystick.”

If you’re not convinced enough to get the fight stick, you can still get the Collector’s Edition ($99.99). It includes the following:

  • Exclusive DC Collectibles statue featuring iconic characters Batman and Wonder Woman, the Fortress of Solitude, and the Last Son of Krypton’s escape ship
  • Special Collector’s Edition of the Injustice: Gods Among Us comic book
  • Digital download of DC Universe animated film Justice League: Doom
  • Three exclusive skins based on Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman from DC COMICS – THE NEW 52

The crappy thing is that if you want the fight stick and the statue, you’d have to get both the Battle and Collector’s Edition, and that’s not going to be cheap. So which is it…the statue or the fight stick?

Oh, and the Collector’s Edition for the European market has a completely different statue than the one we’re getting here. Yes, Wonder Woman is wearing pants in this one.
