I’m not a big fan of The Hunger Games. It seems like that’s usually the case for people who have experienced Battle Royale first. Since there is a Hunger Games-inspired video featuring gamers, I’m willing to let it slide. I mean, just look at the clever title, The Hunger GameRs.

What makes this 100 times cooler is that each contestant gets their own video game-inspired weapon via the Mario Kart mystery box. The weapons included are Ivy’s snake sword, the portal gun from Portal, Link’s shield and sword, the NES Zapper, and the Keyblade from Kingdom Hearts. So far the contestant wielding Link’s shield and sword wins in the bad ass department. You Portal fans may be disappointed in this one.
