Deathstroke joins the Injustice cast, brings lots of guns

For those of you noticing that there was a bit of a lack of villain support for DC and NetherRealm’s Injustice, the developers hear you loud and clear. NetherRealm announced earlier that the gun-toting, sword-swinging, extremely dangerous mercenary Slade Wilson, a.k.a. Deathstroke, is taking part as one of the selectable characters in the upcoming fighting game.

While Deathstroke has had encounters with numerous superheroes in DC history, fans may primarily know him for his rivalries with the Teen Titans. He is especially prominent as the primary antagonist in the animated Teen Titans series, being  proficient at getting under Robin’s skin. He has also had a number of run-ins with the Green Arrow, a contest that is seen in the above trailer. Deathstroke’s combat style is more graphic than the other superheroes/villains in the roster, and include a lot of point blank gunfire, and even the ability to impale his opponents with his sword.

Injustice: Gods Among Us is still slated for an April 2013 release on the Xbox 360, PS3, and the Wii U for those who somehow managed to snag one amongst the chaos of this past Black Friday.
